We the Veterans and Military Families proudly hosted our third annual Flag Day Convening on June 10, 2026, on the rooftop terrace of the iconic Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library in Washington, DC. Building on two years of elevating veterans and military family members as leaders of continued service, this year's gathering centered on the unifying power of sports and the enduring strength of our veteran and military family community. Guests joined us for an evening of meaningful conversation, civic celebration, and recognition of those who continue to serve and inspire, including remarks from veteran and military family speakers on the powerful role sports plays in bridging communities and embodying American values.
This year's Convening also honored America's 250th birthday, bringing together veterans, military families, civic leaders, and partners from across the country to fortify our commitment to continued service as part of America 250. The evening concluded with the presentation of the Continued Impact Award, Patriotic Program Award, and Service to Service Fellow Award recognizing organizations and individuals making a difference for veteran and military families and modeling how all of America can give back.
